Overview

Are you interested in joining a dynamic and international team of professionals to transform education? IE University's Vice Rectorate of Education and Student Experience is looking for an Associate Director of Student Experience (Segovia) to join its team!
 

The Associate Director provides strategic, operational, and administrative support to the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs, contributing to the effective implementation of academic priorities, governance processes, and initiatives aimed at enhancing academic excellence and the student experience.

 

The role acts as a key coordination point across academic departments, Schools, Registrar, Student Experience, IT, students, and other internal and external stakeholders. The Associate Director is responsible for coordinating multiple projects and ensuring their timely and effective execution, monitoring academic indicators, supporting evidence-based decision-making, and facilitating the implementation of institutional guidelines, policies, and quality standards.

 

This position is suited to a highly organized and proactive professional who is eager to grow, influence academic excellence, and work collaboratively across departments in a dynamic and international environment.

 

Position Overview

Reporting to the Director of Education and Student Experience, the Associate Director of Student experience will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of academic policies, governance frameworks, and processes aimed at improving the student experience and enhance institutional reputation. This role combines strategic planning, digital transformation, process excellence, analytics, and stakeholder engagement to drive measurable improvements in the student experience.

 

The Associate Director will work closely with academic leadership, schools, registrar services, IT, and other key stakeholders across the university to ensure alignment and institutional priorities. The role requires a holistic perspective on the student academic journey, positioning academic governance and quality initiatives within the broader IE ecosystem to maximize impact, strengthen compliance, and create a seamless experience across all IE programs.

Responsibilities

Your role as Associate Director will involve:
  • Academic Affairs & Governance: Support the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs in translating academic priorities into coordinated actions, ensuring effective implementation of policies, guidelines, and governance processes.
  • Academic Projects & Program Management: Coordinate and monitor strategic academic projects across Schools and degree programs, ensuring alignment, timely delivery, accountability, and achievement of expected outcomes.
  • Data, Reporting & Quality Assurance: Consolidate and analyze academic data and key performance indicators, providing the Vice Dean with relevant insights and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of strategic reports.
  • Student Academic Experience: Contribute to initiatives that strengthen academic performance, student retention, advising, mentoring, and targeted support, fostering an environment of academic excellence and student success.
  • Academic Processes: Coordinate and follow up on key academic processes, including grades, academic appeals, performance reviews, and other student academic matters, ensuring consistency, timely resolution, and appropriate documentation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration across Schools, Registrar, Student Experience, IT, faculty, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and execution of academic initiatives.
  • Student & Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate engagement with Student Government and Class Representatives, strengthening feedback mechanisms and ensuring that relevant concerns and agreed actions are appropriately followed up.
  • Institutional Engagement & Events: Support the Vice Dean’s institutional activities, including engagement with the city of Segovia, local and regional stakeholders, strategic partnerships, and the organization of key academic and institutional events.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree required.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven experience in project management and cross-functional coordination.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Advanced level of Spanish.
