IE University is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join the Global Brand & Marketing Department. The primary responsibility of this position is to execute integrated marketing activations that support the positioning, visibility, and growth of IE School of Science & Technology's academic portfolio.

The Marketing Specialist will report directly to the Senior Marketing Manager and will play a key role in bringing marketing plans to life through the execution of multi-channel campaigns, go-to-market activations, content initiatives, and customer journey optimization. Working closely with Product Marketing, Digital, Brand, Admissions, Academic and Regional teams, this role ensures consistent execution across all marketing touchpoints while continuously monitoring performance and identifying opportunities for optimization.

This position requires excellent organizational skills, strong project management capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic international environment.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid - IE Tower.

Responsibilities

Your role as a Marketing Specialist will involve:

Product Marketing & Content

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies for the School's portfolio of science and technology programs.
  • Create compelling marketing content across multiple channels, including web, email, presentations, brochures, landing pages, video briefs, and social media.
  • Define clear program messaging and value propositions while ensuring consistency across all marketing touchpoints.
  • Coordinate the development of commercial materials to support global recruitment efforts.


Performance Analytics & Strategic Planning

  • In collaboration with the School Marketing Manager, support the monitoring of program performance across the full recruitment funnel (Lead Generation, Applications, Admissions, and Enrollments), reviewing dashboards and KPIs to identify trends, conversion gaps, and potential risks.
  • Translate marketing and recruitment data into actionable insights, proactively identifying bottlenecks and recommending optimization initiatives together with Digital Marketing, Admissions, and Recruitment teams.
  • Support annual marketing planning by defining recruitment milestones, communication priorities, and campaign roadmaps for each program.
  • Contribute to forecasting discussions and regular performance reviews, helping identify opportunities to maximize recruitment results throughout the year.

 

Collaboration & Project Management:

  • Manage multiple marketing projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality execution.
  • Collaborate with Academic, Admissions, Digital Marketing, Brand, Design, Recruitment teams, and external agencies to deliver integrated marketing initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Support the planning and execution of recruitment campaigns, events, webinars, and product launches.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Science, Engineering, Technology or related fields.
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing, communications, consulting, advertising or digital marketing, preferably within an international organization.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, capable of anticipating challenges, identifying opportunities, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Analytical mindset with experience interpreting campaign performance and marketing metrics.
  • Genuine interest in science, technology, engineering, mathematics or emerging innovations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Must be eligible to work in Spain.
  • STEM academic background (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) or demonstrated experience working with STEM-related products, services or organizations.
  • Experience in higher education, academic marketing, or consulting environments.
