The Junior Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement of program delivery. This position bridges operational execution and strategic program management, leading key initiatives while supervising program support staff. 
 
This role requires a proactive, strategic thinker with proven leadership abilities who can manage teams, oversee complex projects, and collaborate across departments to enhance the student and faculty experience. The Junior Manager will work closely with the Associate Director to implement program innovations, manage quality standards, and drive operational efficiency.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid, María de Molina.
 

Responsibilities

Your role as Junior Manager will involve:

Program Operations & Quality Management 

  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of program operations, ensuring quality standards and timely delivery of all program activities. 
  • Lead operational planning for program modules, including scheduling, resource allocation, and vendor coordination. 
  • Monitor and analyze program metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions. 
  • Ensure compliance with academic policies, institutional standards, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures and documentation to standardize processes across the team. 

Team Leadership & Supervision 

  • Supervise and mentor Program Assistants and Coordinators, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. 
  • Allocate tasks and manage workload distribution across the support team to optimize efficiency. 
  • Conduct regular team meetings to align on priorities, address challenges, and foster collaboration. 
  • Identify training needs and support professional development of team members. 

Project Management & Innovation 

  • Lead special projects related to program enhancement, process improvement, and innovation initiatives. 
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of program events such as networking sessions, company visits, guest speaker events, and graduation ceremonies. 
  • Manage elective offerings, including scheduling, faculty coordination, and student enrollment processes. 
  • Support the implementation of new technologies, teaching tools, and learning platforms across the program. 

Faculty & Student Support 

  • Serve as a liaison between faculty and program management, addressing concerns and facilitating communication. 
  • Support faculty onboarding, training, and ongoing technical assistance in collaboration with the Coordinator. 
  • Handle escalated student issues and concerns, providing solutions and ensuring student satisfaction. 
  • Coordinate with student representatives to gather feedback and implement improvements. 

Cross-Departmental Collaboration 

  • Collaborate with Admissions on candidate evaluation processes, information sessions, and enrollment strategies. 
  • Work with the Marketing Department on promotional content, program materials, and recruitment campaigns. 
  • Coordinate with the Registrar's Office, Finance, and other administrative departments to ensure seamless service delivery. 
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and committees to represent program interests and contribute to institutional initiatives. 

Reporting & Communication 

  • Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and analytics for the Associate Director and Executive Director. 
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of program activities, decisions, and outcomes. 
  • Communicate program updates and important information to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Support the Associate Director in curriculum planning meetings and strategic discussions. 

Budget & Resource Management 

  • Assist with budget monitoring and expense tracking for program activities. 
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for program-related services. 
  • Optimize resource utilization to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards. 

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree requiredMaster's degree in business, education, or a related field desirable. 
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in program management, operations, or higher education. 
  • Proven experience in team leadership or supervision. 
  • Full fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken). 
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a continuous improvement mindset. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with diverse stakeholders. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, learning management systems, and project management tools. 
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences. 
  • Strategic thinking combined with attention to operational detail. 
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions. 
  • Availability to travel occasionally. 
  • Valid EU work permit.
