Overview

Are you interested in joining a dynamic and international team of professionals to transform education? IE University's School of Arts & Humanities is looking for an Associate Director to join its team!
 

The IE School of Arts & Humanities is seeking an experienced professional to serve as Associate Director during a temporary leave period. Reporting to the School's leadership team, the Associate Director will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives, supporting program growth and positioning, strengthening external partnerships, overseeing marketing and communications efforts, and managing the School's portfolio of engagement activities.

 

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and collaborative professional with strong project management capabilities, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience operating in an international higher education environment.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid - IE Tower.
 

Responsibilities

Your role as Associate Director will involve:

 

Strategy & Partnerships 

  • Support the implementation of the School's strategic objectives under the guidance of the Dean and Executive Director.   
  • Identify, develop, and manage partnerships with academic institutions, cultural organizations, companies, and external stakeholders that contribute to the School's visibility and growth. 
  • Coordinate collaborations with internal and external partners to support academic initiatives, events, and special projects. 
  • Represent the School in institutional meetings, partnership discussions, and external engagement activities. 

 

Commercial Strategy 

  • Collaborate with Admissions, Recruitment, and Marketing teams to support enrollment and growth objectives across the School's programs. 
  • Developexecute and monitor initiatives that increase program visibility and conversion. 
  • Represent the School at information sessions, webinars, recruitment events, and other commercial activities. 
  • Create presentations, informational materials, and content that support program promotion and student recruitment. 

 

Marketing & Communications 

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Social Media teams to implement the School's communications strategy across internal and external channels. 
  • Develop content and storytelling initiatives that showcase the School's academic activities, faculty achievements, student successes, and events. 
  • Coordinate content creation for websites, newsletters, social media platforms, and promotional materials. 
  • Ensure consistency of messaging and alignment with IE University and the School’s brand

 

Events Management 

  • Oversee the planning, promotion, and execution of the School's academic, cultural, and community engagement events. 
  • Coordinate logistics, budgets, vendors, venues, guest speakers, registrations, and event communications. 
  • Work closely with faculty, students, alumni, and external partners to deliver high-quality events and experiences. 
  • Ensure effective event promotion before, during, and after events through digital channels, stakeholder outreach, and post-event communications. 

 

General Responsibilities 

  • Manage relationships with faculty, students, alumni, and external stakeholders, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness. 
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects involving multiple departments across IE University. 
  • Support operational and administrative processes required for the successful delivery of School initiatives. 
  • Manage budgets and monitor expenditures related to School activities. 

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

 

  • Master's degree desireable.
  • 4 - 6 years of similar work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish. 
  • Candidates must possess a valid EU work permit. 
  • Proven experience in higher education, strategic project management, business development, marketing, partnerships, or related fields. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. 
  • Strong customer-service orientation and attention to detail. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders. 
  • Experience in arts, humanities, liberal arts, cultural institutions, or related sectors is a plus.
