Responsibilities

Your role as a Associate Director will involve:
  • Overview

    IE is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Senior Associate Director for Open Programs to join the Academic Affairs team. This role is responsible for the operational, academic and strategic management of executive open-enrollment programs, ensuring excellence in participant experience, faculty coordination, academic innovation and program delivery.

    The successful candidate will play a key role in driving program quality, operational efficiency and cross-functional collaboration while contributing to the continued positioning of IE as a global leader in executive education.

     

     

  • Key Responsibilities

    Academic Program Management

    • Oversee the end-to-end execution of Executive Education Open Programs.
    • Ensure academic excellence and consistency across all program deliveries.
    • Coordinate program logistics and academic operations with internal stakeholders.
    • Monitor program performance, participant feedback and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Supervise calendars, schedules, materials and delivery standards.

    Faculty & Academic Coordination

    • Act as the main liaison between faculty and the institution for assigned programs.
    • Coordinate faculty onboarding, teaching needs and academic requirements.
    • Ensure alignment between program objectives, learning outcomes and faculty delivery.
    • Support the development and integration of innovative methodologies and AI-enhanced learning experiences.

    Strategic & Operational Leadership

    • Contribute to the strategic growth and evolution of the Open Programs portfolio.
    • Identify operational improvements and implement scalable processes.
    • Collaborate with Admissions, Marketing, Program Management, Learning Innovation and Finance teams.
    • Support budgeting processes, forecasting and resource planning.
    • Drive data-informed decision-making through dashboards and reporting tools.

    Participant Experience

    • Ensure a premium participant journey from enrollment through program completion.
    • Handle high-level participant or corporate relationship matters when needed.
    • Foster engagement, networking and community-building initiatives.

    Team Collaboration & Leadership

    • Mentor and support junior team members.
    • Promote collaboration, accountability and innovation within the team.
    • Lead cross-functional initiatives and special academic projects.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in executive education, higher education or academic program management.
    • Strong project management and organizational skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
    • Experience managing complex programs and multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Data-driven mindset and familiarity with reporting/dashboard tools.
    • High level of professionalism, adaptability and solution-oriented thinking.
    • Fluency in English and Spanish
