Overview

Are you interested in joining a dynamic and international team of professionals to transform education? IE University's Student Services is looking for an Advisor (Temporary) to join its team!

 

The Student Services Department is in charge of offering IE University students resources and information vital for their move to Madrid. From obtaining their student visa to finding accommodation, exploring medical insurance options, or getting mobile phone service, the SS Department plays a key role in guaranteeing a good start to the student’s life in Spain. 

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team, bilingual in English and Spanish. Student Services Advisors perform a variety of tasks within clearly defined procedures; decisions are made regarding the setup, sequencing, and priority of tasks.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid - María de Molina.
 

Responsibilities

Your role as Advisor will involve:
 
  • Be familiar with all aspects of office operations. 
  • Be familiar with the programs, services, policies, and procedures. 
  • Complete all tasks assigned in an accurate, prompt, and thorough manner. 
  • Make effective use of work time. 
  • Be able to communicate and interact positively and effectively with staff, students, and parents from different nationalities. 
  • Possess sound judgment and strong organizational skills. 
  • Possess the ability to function autonomously. 
  • Be familiar with word processing, computer data entry, filing, and telephone reception. 
  • Consistently contribute to department standards. 
  • Offering excellent customer service, you will be able to empathize with students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and communicate clearly to an international audience. 

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree (desirable)
  • Fluent in English and Spanish 
  • With excellent organizational, IT, communication, and writing skills, you will be self- motivated and able to work flexibly as part of a team 
  • Customer service experience
