Are you interested in joining a dynamic and international team of professionals to transform education? IE University's Research Office Mathematics Department is looking for an FPI Predoctoral Fellow to join its team!

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid - María de Molina.
 

Responsibilities

Your role as a Fellow will involve:
  • Analyze academic literature in management, business strategy, innovation, and platform markets to identify relevant research gaps and contribution opportunities.
  • Implement advanced research methodologies, including statistics and econometrics, as well as empirical research related to AI and digital platforms.
  • Develop, write, and present academic research papers at international conferences, workshops, and academic seminars.
  • Prepare high-quality academic manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed management and strategy journals. 
  • Collaborate with faculty and research teams on ongoing research projects within the fields of corporate strategy, competition, innovation, and AI. 
  • Contribute actively to the academic research environment of IE University, including participation in seminars and research discussions.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering.
  • Strong academic background, demonstrated through Bachelor’s and Master’s academic transcripts. 
  • Solid knowledge of statistics and econometrics applied to empirical research. 
  • Programming skills relevant for academic research (e.g. data analysis, econometric modeling).
  • Research interests aligned with innovation, artificial intelligence, business and corporate strategy, competition, and platform markets. 
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, for academic writing and presentations.
  • Availability to travel internationally to attend conferences and academic events.
