We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in IE Miami Office. 
 

Responsibilities

Your role as an Associate Director of Employer Partnerships will involve:

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Employer Partnerships & Career Development (Primary Focus):

  • Identify, build, and manage strategic relationships with companies across North America, mainly focused on Miami and Texas, and other markets when needed, to generate job opportunities for IE students and alumni.
  • Serve as a local ambassador for IE Talent & Careers, aligning employer engagement strategies with student profiles and academic programs.
  • Partner with IE’s Sector Heads and wider global teams to co-develop tailored value propositions for employers in key markets.
  • Support the design and implementation of regional career treks, employer forums, and on-site visits for IE students.
  • Collaborate with the IEU and IENYC, particularly in support of job placement outcomes, regional account management, and feedback loops to academic programs.

 

Alumni Engagement & Strategic Relations:

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with alumni in key industries to enhance employer access, mentorship, and talent pipelines, strengthening IE´s talent footprint in the region.
  • Identify, cultivate, and follow up with alumni serving as hiring managers, mentors, speakers and company champions.
  • Engage strategic alumni across the region—especially those in leadership or decision-making roles—to strengthen employer engagement and regional presence.
  • Collaborate with alumni to organize and enrich student treks, company visits, and other experiential learning opportunities.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration & Market Intelligence:

  • Work in close coordination across Global Markets, Corporate Relations, Global Alumni Relations and Talent and Careers to ensure aligned employer engagement and alumni strategies.
  • Contribute regional insights to the broader institutional strategy roadmap (KPIs, segmentation, collaboration frameworks).
  • Track and report key engagement metrics using shared systems and CRM tools.

 

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • Ideal Candidate Profile:

    • Master’s degree highly desirable.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in relationship management, business development, employer engagement, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of the North American job market and talent acquisition processes.
    • Proven ability to interact with senior executives, navigate complex organizational structures, and build trust-based relationships.
    • A strategic thinker who can operate independently, yet thrives in a matrixed environment.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with multicultural fluency and adaptability.
    • Fluent in English and Spanish.
    • Willingness to travel regionally and internationally, including to IE’s headquarters in Madrid.

     

    Location & Reporting:

    This role will be based in Miami.

    Reports directly to the Talent & Careers Department.

    Works in close coordination with Global Markets team (IE Miami Office), Sector Heads, Global Alumni Relations and IENYC.

    • Build and maintain strategic relationships with alumni in key industries to support employer engagement and talent access.
    • Identify, cultivate, and follow up with alumni who support as hiring managers, mentors, or company champions.
    • Collaborate on student treks and company visits by coordinating with alumni who can offer insight or open doors within their organizations.
    • Support institutional events by ensuring alumni participation, visibility, and connection opportunities.
    Actively invite alumni to attend or speak at events that foster student-alumni and alumni-alumni engagement.
