We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Tokyo, Japan.

Responsibilities

Your role as a Coordinator will involve:

 

As a Coordinator based in Tokyo, you will play a key role in strengthening IE University’s presence in the Japanese market. This position combines business development, recruitment, and commercial responsibilities with office administration, event planning, and student pipeline management.

  • Your main responsibilities will include:
    • Increase overall awareness of IE Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in Japan.
    • Plan, manage, and implement business development and commercial activities in the region to promote IE’s Undergraduate programs.
    • Participate in recruitment and enrollment activities, including education fairs, school visits, presentations, information sessions, and networking events.
    • Develop and manage a healthy and steady pipeline of prospective students through proactive outreach and follow-up.
    • Support student pipeline management, ensuring an excellent candidate experience from first contact through enrollment.
    • Assist in the administration and day-to-day operations of the Tokyo office.
    • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing and recruitment events (both online and in-person).
    • Manage event logistics, stakeholder coordination, and post-event follow-up.
    • Prepare activity and performance reports for the Japan Office Director.

 

This role reports directly to the Japan Office Director.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

You should be comfortable working in a dynamic, international environment while adapting strategies to the local Japanese market. A strong interest in technology to enhance the candidate experience is highly valued.


We Require:


• 0–3 years of professional experience.
• Experience in sales, marketing, communications, business development, event management, or office administration (education sector experience is a plus).
• Undergraduate degree (IE University degree is a plus).
• Native-level Japanese and full professional proficiency in English (Spanish is a plus).
• Experience in an international environment is highly valued.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and commercial drive.
• Strong teamwork capability with a positive, customer-oriented mindset.
• Analytical and numerical skills.
• Solution-oriented attitude with a proactive, can-do mindset.
• Availability to travel within Japan as required.
