Overview

Are you interested in joining a dynamic and international team of professionals to transform education? IE University's Finance & Control is looking for an Junior Financial Planning & Analysis Associate to join its team!
 

Under the direction of a Senior Manager, the Junior Financial Planning & Analysis Associate contributes to the analysis, projection, and reporting of financial and operational performance across the institution. He/she will play a key role in the production of insights and control reports to support data-driven decision-making within the Finance & Control department.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid - IE Tower.
 

Responsibilities

Your role as a Junior Financial Planning & Analysis Associate will involve:
  • Supports in data analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting.
  • Prepares detailed profitability and KPI analyses for management review.
  • Ensures that financial and control data is accurately recorded and structured for internal reporting and decision support.
  • Maintains reliable financial and performance records.
  • Prepares and reviews a variety of reports and dashboards requiring interpretation of complex data.
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of control, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure the consistency and quality of financial data used in projections and strategic planning.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Management, Accounting or related field should be valued.
  • Fluency and proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • 1–2 years of experience in Audit, Finance, Controlling, or similar analytical roles.
  • Big4 experience is valued.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, financial models, macros).
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other ERPs / financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret large datasets.
  • Strong knowledge of financial and accounting principles.
  • Solid communication skills and ability to present complex data in a clear and concise way.
  • Capacity to work with confidential financial and personnel information.
  • Eagerness to learn and take advantage of internal training and development programs.
