Overview

Are you interested in joining a dynamic and international team of professionals to transform education? IE University's Business Schools for Climate Leadership (BS4CL) is looking for a Project Manager (one-year project role) to join its team!
 
In collaboration with Business Schools for Climate Leadership (BS4CL) co-leaders and core team, the project manager will lead the strategic development, operational execution, and day-to-day management of the BS4CL European network of schools. The project manager is responsible for driving the network’s growth and impact while ensuring robust collaboration across partner institutions. The project manager will oversee the execution of priorities in accordance with BS4CL’s strategy and main pillars of the workstreams. A key responsibility will be to provide cross-functional coordination, financial stewardship, external relations, events coordination, and to directly contribute to the advancement of BS4CL’s mission to embed climate leadership in business education.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid

Responsibilities

Your role will involve:
  • Lead the strategic planning and implementation of BS4CL initiatives, in alignment with priorities
    set by BS4CL governance (Deans and Core Team). The manager should coordinate and support the
    executive of the key workstreams of the alliance – research, engagement, advocacy and learning.
    • Lead stakeholder engagement and relationship management, nurturing connections with other
    business schools and their alumni community, partner organizations, and networks such as BS4CL
    Africa, BS4CL Middle East.
    • Prepare agenda, background documentation, briefings, meeting minutes and other reference
    materials in support of regular core team meetings for effective operational decision-making.
    • Manage and track annual budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
    • Manage and enhance communications both internally within the BS4CL network and externally,
    including oversight of the website development in collaboration with communications teams.
    • Maintain and update the shared folder of BS4CL archive materials.
  • Lead and coordinate a multi-institutional network spanning 8 business schools across 5 countries,
    overseeing the alliance’s expansion into new regions and continents.
    • Oversee the planning and delivery of international forums/summits (e.g., Davos, Change Now), and
    participate in academic global meetings (e.g., AOM – Academy of Management or alike).
    • Support faculty and engagement of PhD students taking part in the BS4CL PhD course each year
    and support the development and launch of new PhD courses under the BS4CL umbrella.
    • Facilitate collaboration among core team members and affiliated faculty across all member schools.
    • Lead the ecosystem growth, proposing new partnerships and approaches to help us increase our
    reach and impact among academia, business, and society.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in administration, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Public Policy, or a related
    field.
    • Advanced qualifications or certifications in project management, strategy, or organizational
    leadership are preferred.
    • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in strategic program management or leadership
    roles within academic, non-profit, or international organizations.
    • Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives and delivering high-impact
    projects.
    • Experience in budgeting, financial management, and governance within collaborative networks.
    • Strong experience in stakeholder engagement, partnership development, and communication
    strategies.
    • Familiarity with sustainability, climate change, or related global challenges and a passion for driving
    systemic change through education.
    • You must be based in Spain (Madrid or Barcelona) or willing to relocate
