Are you interested in joining a dynamic and international team of professionals to transform education? IE University's IE School of Architecture and Design is seeking an Associate Director of Master's Programs to join its team!
 

We are seeking a proactive, highly organized, and collaborative Associate Director to support the IE School of Architecture and Design, working in close coordination with the Associate Dean and the Master´s team. 

 

This role plays a key part in strengthening academic operations, institutional initiatives, and external engagement, with a strong focus on student experience, brand positioning, and strategic partnerships aligned with the School’s vision.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid - IE Tower.
 

Responsibilities

Your role as Associate Director will involve:

 

Strategic and Operational Support 

  • Provide day-to-day strategic and operational support to the Associate Dean of the IE School of Architecture and Design across academic, institutional, and external initiatives. 
  • Support the School’s existing Master's programs and team, ensuring alignment between academic goals, student experience, and institutional priorities. 
  • Act as a coordination point for internal and external requests related to new initiatives that enhance the programs’ portfolio and overall student experience. 

 

Accreditation and Institutional Processes 

  • Support accreditation processes and institutional quality requirements, including RICS and ACSUCYL, in coordination with academic and administrative stakeholders. 
  • Contribute significantly to documentation, follow-up, and cross-team coordination related to accreditation and compliance activities. 

 

Institutional and stakeholder engagement initiatives  

  • Take full ownership of key partner-facing and flagship events that support the School’s positioning and visibility, including:  
  • ULI Annual Event 
  • JLL Design Awards 
  • Re_Solution Series, an annual talks program with former mayors and international leaders 
  • Coordinate with external partners, speakers, and internal teams to ensure excellence in planning, execution, and communication. 
  • Support institutional and stakeholder engagement initiatives that reinforce the School’s international profile and thought leadership. 

 

Collaboration and Project Management 

  • Work closely with academic directors, faculty, operations, marketing, and external partners to ensure smooth execution of initiatives. 
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing strategic priorities with operational excellence under tight timelines. 

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

 

  • Master’s degree. 
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience, preferably in higher education or a comparable institutional environment, including supervisory responsibilities. 
  • Strong project management skills, particularly in event coordination, logistics, and stakeholder communication. 
  • Proven ability to support senior leadership with discretion, structure, and strategic thinking. 
  • Customer- and student-centric mindset, with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a constructive, solution-oriented approach. 
  • close attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information. 
  • Strong communication skills, including empathy, active listening, and professional judgment. 
  • Ability to multitask and manage complexity in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive, positive, and enthusiastic attitude. 
  • Full professional fluency in English and Spanish.
