Under the supervision of the Administration & Accounting Director, the person is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations, and delivering accurate financial reporting. The role involves managing the full accounting cycle, supervising accounting areas, coordinating audits, and supporting management with financial information and analysis.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid - IE Tower.
 

Responsibilities

Your role as an Administration & Accounting Manager will involve:
  • Oversee and control all accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate the group financial consolidation process
  • Review and analyze balance sheet accounts and income statements
  • Manage and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings for group companies
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting and tax obligations
  • Prepare statutory, management, and ad hoc financial reports
  • Act as main point of contact with external auditors
  • Identify accounting issues, propose solutions, and support problem-solving initiatives
  • Design and monitor accounting procedures and controls
  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects, including automation and optimization of accounting and administrative processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments and respond to financial queries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in special projects aligned with business and department needs.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • BBA degree or similar
  • A Master’s degree from a prestigious institution is highly valued
  • Knowledge of accepted accounting principles, practices, and procedures under Spanish GAAP (US GAAP is a plus)
  • Credentials such as CPA or CMA are highly desirable
  • Six years of professional audit experience (Big four experience is a must)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience working with ERP systems (MicrosoftDynamics 365 is a plus)
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (professional level).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and team-oriented mindset with leadership capabilities
