In this role, you will be responsible for shaping, managing, and expanding IE’s Finance employer ecosystem, with a strong focus on boosting employability across finance sub-verticals and driving meaningful connections between top talent and leading organizations.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid - IE Tower.
 

Responsibilities

Your role as a Senior Associate Director will involve:
 

1. Employer Partnerships Strategy & Business Development

  • Design and execute a sector strategy segmented by Finance sub-verticals (Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Asset Management, Corporate Finance, Wealth Management, FinTech, Real Estate Finance, etc.).
  • Identify market gaps and proactively generate demand for IE talent through targeted employer engagement.
  • Create and maintain robust Account Plans for strategic employers, ensuring visibility on pipelines, planned actions, performance metrics, and opportunities by program.
  • Conduct market analysis to anticipate hiring trends and ensure alignment with employer needs.

2. Employer Ecosystem Management & Expansion

  • Manage and expand a diverse portfolio of Finance organizations—from global institutions to niche boutiques.
  • Build strong, consultative relationships with recruiters, hiring managers, and senior leadership across the sector.
  • Conduct regular employer visits and lead strategic meetings that uncover new collaboration opportunities.
  • Represent IE University nationally and internationally at conferences, corporate visits, and sector events (approx. 30% travel expected).

3. Talent Activation & Placement Support

  • Partner closely with Career Education and Program Management teams to align talent preparation with employer expectations.
  • Collaborate in crafting career narratives by program and profile, ensuring relevance to the specific needs of each Finance sub-vertical.
  • Identify high-potential candidates for key recruiting processes and facilitate introductions between students and employers.
  • Provide employers with visibility on the talent pipeline across master’s and bachelor’s programs.

4. Events, Marketing & Employer Engagement

  • Design and execute high-impact recruiting and networking events (Company Presentations, Talent Forums, Treks, technical workshops, roundtables, etc.).
  • Partner with Marketing to develop targeted communication strategies and campaigns by Finance sub-vertical.
  • Monitor employer engagement KPIs and conversion outcomes to guide strategic decisions.
  • Ensure an exceptional employer experience across all touchpoints.

5. EP Team leadership and Management

  • Lead the EP Finance Team, composed of 3 FTEs, commercially with energy and motivation.
  • Build knowledge and internal training tools withing the team.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • Master’s degree from a top university (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the finance sector, ideally in roles involving business development, talent acquisition, relationship management, or technical finance functions.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Strong understanding of the Finance industry landscape and its recruiting processes.
  • Proven track record in building and managing strategic external relationships.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and highly organized, with strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Global mindset and ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
