The Career Coach Associate Director at IE Talent & Careers has two main responsibilities: provide career advice for bachelor students and to prepare candidates to succeed in their recruiting processes (80% of the time) and to implement special initiatives and projects that in most cases will have a transversal scope, impacting different units and teams (20% of the time)

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid, IE Tower.
 

Responsibilities

Your role as an Associate Director will involve:

 

Career Coach (80%). Reporting line: Lead of Bachelor Programs and Team 

  • Career coaching and advising of candidates through their process of self-assessment, research, networking, interview preparation, and job search guidance 
  • Develop and deliver preparation workshops and informational sessions about specific job markets and industries 
  • Develop increasing levels of knowledge about specific industry trends, corporate strategies, and recruitment expectations of core partners, in liaison with the Employer Partnerships team and alumni 
  • Collaborate with the preparation of newsletters and student communications 
  • Organize sector-specific trainings or events. 
  • Coordinate with professional student club activities: events, student treks 
  • Hold open office hours to provide career advice 
  • Understand and promote career resources, events, and opportunities 
  • Track and report student employment information and statistics 
  • Deliver workshops on application materials

 

Special transversal projects (20%). Reporting line: Lead of Bachelor Programs and Team  

These issues will arise on an ongoing basis and are necessary to maintain a high-quality service. Some examples include:

  • Support of existing transversal career-related projects and initiatives 
  • Creation of new initiatives focusing on employability 
  • Support in scouting of job opportunities for a specific sector or across sectors – usually with an international focus. 
  • Support recruitment events, including Talent Forums, company presentations, and sector-specific gatherings. 
  • Development and maintenance of educational or advising materials related to careers 

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

 

  • Top Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree, ideally in a related field 
  • 3+ years of related experience (HR, coaching, education, psychology, or specific field) 
  • Fluent English and Spanish 
  • Used to working in international settings 
  • Empathetic and flexible 
  • Experience working with university students or young professionals is a plus
