Overview

Are you interested in joining a dynamic and international team of professionals to transform education? IE University's Marketing department is looking for a Strategic Content Manager to join its team!

To transform brand content creation into strategic intent: actionable, measurable, and institutionally embedded brand projects.

This role ensures that creative and strategic initiatives are executed through tight, human-centered processes (connecting strategy, content production, and institutional alignment) so that every output drives tangible impact and adoption across IE University.

Core Mission

To orchestrate how the Brand Team operates (visual and verbal identity teams and audiovisual teams), ensuring that every project moves from idea to execution with clear KPIs, timelines, deliverables, and institutional embedding. This person acts as the link between creative strategy and operational efficiency, ensuring that metrics, alignment, and coherence are built into how we ideate, produce, and deliver brand value in the content we create and how we distribute it.

Responsibilities

Your role as a Strategic Content Manager will involve:
  1. Strategic Orchestration & Process Leadership
  • Translate brand strategy into clear, actionable content project roadmaps with defined objectives, milestones, and outcomes.
  • Build frameworks that turn complex, multi-stakeholder scenarios into manageable projects.
  • Ensure each project follows an optimized process (from brief to rollout to measurement & optimization) with clear accountability and feedback loops.
  • Maintain visibility across all ongoing initiatives to anticipate dependencies and align process and sequencing.
  1. Embedding Metrics & Performance Thinking
  • Ensure that every initiative includes measurable indicators (reach, engagement, adoption, quality perception, etc.).
  • Work with content creation & distribution teams to define success criteria before production begins and ensure follow-up and optimization after launch.
  • Embed performance thinking in day-to-day operations, so metrics guide decision-making, resource allocation, and iteration, without turning creativity into bureaucracy.
  • Promote a mindset of continuous optimization rather than one-off delivery.
  1. Human-Centered Operational Efficiency
  • Design processes that empower creative teams, balancing agility, strategic clarity, and creative ownership.
  • Establish the right rituals (planning meetings, check-ins, retrospectives) to maintain flow and transparency.
  • Facilitate collaboration across creative disciplines, ensuring interdependence without overload.
  • Identify friction points and design smarter, lighter systems for coordination.
  1. Institutional Embedding
  • Ensure the Brand Team’s outputs are not just published, but adopted and activated across the institution (channels, touchpoints, teams…)
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (schools, departments, communication units) to integrate brand narratives, campaigns, and frameworks into internal communications, training, and onboarding.
  • Guarantee that all internal audiences understand, use, and live the brand consistently, turning external storytelling into internal alignment.
  • Track adoption and coherence metrics (usage rates, alignment indicators, engagement levels) to measure institutional impact.
  1. Strategic Alignment & Governance
  • Ensure that all brand initiatives ladder up to institutional strategy, purpose, and priorities.
  • Serve as the orchestrator who ensures everyone (internal/external teams and collaborators) are moving in sync, guided by the same strategy and goals when it comes to content production projects.
  • Protect coherence and guardrails while enabling flexibility for creative experimentation.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of brand strategy and cross-functional content production.
  • Proven ability to turn ambiguity into structured, measurable action plans.
  • Strategic yet operational thinker: can zoom out to define frameworks and zoom in to ensure execution rigor.
  • Skilled at connecting creative, analytical, and human dimensions of work.
  • Confident managing influence horizontally (aligning and collaborating without the need for formal authority).
Unleash your full potential and make an impact. The next move is yours!
