The Junior Manager, Annual Giving & Communications will report to the IE Foundation and work closely with the IE Foundation Development & Communications Teams. This position will also collaborate with various internal departments, including Global Alumni Relations, Communications, Alumni & Talent & Careers, Campus Life, as well as other relevant divisions.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid - IE Tower

Responsibilities

Your role as Junior Manager, Annual Giving & Communications will involve: 

Strategic Execution

  • Lead and manage IE Foundation’s Annual Giving initiatives, including IE Giving Tuesday, the Reunion Giving Campaign, and other visibility campaigns.
  • Establish yearly fundraising goals, monitor campaign metrics, and communicate results and impact with internal stakeholders.
  • Develop annual campaign roadmaps, messaging strategies, and content calendars to align with other IE departments

Content & Creative

  • Collaborate with the Comms team to design and produce all campaign materials with a strong focus on impact storytelling, creative thinking and high-quality writing.
  • Lead the development of donor-focused narratives and multimedia campaigns that highlight student stories, research impact, and community engagement.
  • Coordinate social media strategy and visual storytelling to amplify campaigns, leveraging a mix of formats to engage internal and external audiences with clarity and emotion.

Outreach, Segmentation & Data

  • Define outreach strategies and segmentation plans for email appeals.
  • Maintain and improve giving channels (Stockcrowd, donation forms, CRM integrations).
  • Supervise data accuracy in CRM systems (Raiser’s Edge NXT, Microsoft Dynamics) and track all fundraising-related interactions.

Volunteer Engagement & Community Activation

  • Engage students and alumni scholarship recipients as visibility and fundraising ambassadors during campaigns and events.
  • Act as a relationship-builder and people person, collaborating closely with student and alumni clubs to co-create campaign activations, ensure alignment with community values, and cultivate a culture of giving.
  • Represent IE Foundation in student and alumni-facing events with confident public speaking and storytelling.

Events & Visibility

  • Support the planning, administration, logistics and communications for donor recognition and visibility events.
  • Coordinate event messaging, branding, and audience strategy with internal and external collaborators.

Project Management

  • Work across departments to align priorities and timelines, ensuring a seamless rollout of fundraising initiatives.
  • Adapt quickly to last-minute needs while maintaining high standards of accuracy and creativity.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should have:  

  • Master’s degree and 2 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, communications, or higher education development.
  • Previous experience launching and managing annual giving programs with measurable success.
  • Preferred experience with video editing/graphic design
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Proven experience managing volunteers, leading events, and building donor engagement strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising databases and CRM systems, specifically Raiser’s Edge and Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Dreamweaver, Canva and basic HTML for email creation.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects across stakeholders and channels.
