The Brand Specialist (Visual Focus + Project Management) will play a key role in safeguarding and evolving the visual identity of IE University during a maternity leave period. This is a dual-focused role that combines deep brand thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring that every creative asset is on-brand, on-brief, and on time.

 

You will act as the critical link between strategic brand direction and daily execution — owning IE’s design system, managing visual brand consistency across channels, and leading projects through their full lifecycle, from brief to delivery.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position, to cover a maternity leave, in Madrid - IE Tower.

Responsibilities

Your role as a Brand Specialist (Visual Focus + Project Management) will involve:

 

  1. Strategic Brand Identity Development & Oversight
    • Manage and evolve IE’s visual identity: logos, typography, color palettes, imagery, templates, and more.
    • Enforce brand consistency across digital, print, and merchandise.
    • Align with internal stakeholders to communicate and embed visual brand updates and standards.
  1. Project Management & Execution
    • Develop detailed roadmaps and calendars for branding initiatives.
    • Brief creative partners (agencies, freelancers, in-house) with clarity and precision.
    • Own timelines, ensuring assets are delivered efficiently and to standard.
    • Monitor and prioritize multiple branding projects simultaneously.
  1. Cross-Platform Visual Consistency
    • Oversee branding across websites, social media, digital campaigns, and presentations.
    • Manage the execution of branded merchandise and physical collateral aligned with IE’s positioning.
    • Ensure all materials reflect IE’s premium, innovative image.
  1. Internal Brand Governance & Training
    • Maintain and update brand guidelines, ensuring access across teams.
    • Curate a centralized repository of brand assets for seamless internal use.
    • Advocate for best practices in visual storytelling and branded content creation.

The Ultimate Goal: To ensure that IE University’s brand remains consistent, premium, and future-forward while optimizing the creative ecosystem for operational excellence. You will bridge strategy and execution, enabling the brand to perform at its highest level during this coverage period.

 

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Branding, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in brand management, visual identity, or creative project coordination.
  • Strong understanding of brand systems, design principles, and digital content production.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional projects, stakeholders, and timelines.
  • High attention to detail with an eye for visual coherence and brand storytelling.
  • Comfortable briefing and managing external agencies, freelancers, and in-house teams.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and project management tools like Asana or Trello.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
