Are you interested in joining a dynamic and international team of professionals to transform education? IE University School of Architecture & Design is looking for a Junior Fabshion Lab Technician to join its team! 

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a Junior Fashion Lab Technician for the Bachelor in Fashion Design program at IE School of Architecture and Design, on our Segovia campus. In this role, you will play a significant part in guiding and supporting students in the realization of their fashion design projects within our state-of-the-art fashion laboratory.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Segovia.  

Responsibilities

Your role as Junior Fashion Lab Technician will involve: 

  • Provide hands-on guidance and instruction to students in the use of sewing machines, sergers, and other garment and textile construction equipment.
  • Assist students in understanding and applying design principles and techniques to their projects.
  • Assist Senior Lab Technician in daily tasks for fashion and textile laboratories, oversee inventory and support projects enrolled throughout the year.
  • Collaborate with faculty members to develop and implement curriculum enhancements and projects.
  • Maintain and organize the fashion laboratory, including equipment, supplies, and materials.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in fashion design and production techniques.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should have:  

  • Experience in operating garment construction machinery, including sewing machines, sergers, textile looms, and industrial equipment
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential.
  • Background in fashion design, with experience in garment production and preferably in design as well.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively support students.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to fostering the growth and development of aspiring fashion designers.
