From IE Editorial Knowledge we promote and distribute the knowledge created by the IE community through various strategies, projects and activities, collaborating closely and transversally with the schools and research centers that are part of this institution.

 

As a Advisor, you will be in contact with academic content, helping authors in all the steps of the publication process, from contact with publishers, content review and final promotion and dissemination. During this process, you must have an eye for detail and an expert knowledge of the Spanish and English language to coordinate, review and edit content. You will also have to develop various promotional activities and strategies to achieve maximum dissemination

Responsibilities

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid.
Your role as a IE EDITORIAL ADVISOR MADRID will involve:

Key Action Areas:

 

  • Market research and benchmarking of the best practices in books and publications to disseminate knowledge from other academic institutions.
  • IE Editorial projects planning and monitoring. Direct interaction with different internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordination of educational materials to create books and publications with different publishing houses in the market.
  • Coordination and monitoring of the publications process from conceptualisation, editing, revision, proofreading and translation of texts as well as its design, layout and final publication.
  • Organise events, leading the coordination and operations of online and face-to-face events.
  • Support on book promotion, purchasing and sales as well as on all related administrative tasks.
  • Create and update online content and be in charge of the social media and communications follow up.
  • Manage our catalogue and ie authors web pages.
  • Create reports and assist in the preparation of budgets and statistics.

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
 
  • We are looking for a multi-skilling person able to assume responsibilities in different fields and with the capacity of offering a holistic service.
  • Bachelor´s Degree needed. Specialisation in English Philology is highly valued for this position.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken skills).
  • High quality job, attention to detail, and focused on excellence.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Advanced command of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
  • Knowledge of design and desktop publishing tools will be a plus (Canva, Adobe Digital publishing, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and others).
  • Mobility between all IE campuses.
