Financial Contoller

 

IE University is looking for an Associate Control Manager! The Associate Control Manager under a Control Manager direction, implements control procedures, operates control data and prepares all kinds of control statements and reports.

 

He/she is responsible for managing and communicating information within the institution control duties. He/she will play an integral and key role in the production and reporting of information within the Office of the Controller department.

 

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position based in Madrid-IE Tower. 

Responsibilities

Your role as an Associate Control Manager will involve:

 

  • Provide analyses, projections and presentations of financial reports.
  • Prepare detailed profitability and KPI's analysis.
  • Carry out budgeting control and management control of programs and departments of the company.
  • Operation and improvement of control systems and procedures.
  • Help to create accounting and narrative statements or reports requiring sound interpretation of data.
  • Ensure processes that guarantee quality of information.
  • Communicate all kind of control information to organization.
  • Participate and cooperate with control staff and systems analysts to implement and improve automated control systems.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Management, Accounting or related field or experience with accounting firms is desired.
  • Fluency and proficiency in professional English and Spanish.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience. 
  • Previous Big 4 experience is desired.
  • Knowledge of control/business analysis techniques and generally accepted accounting practise.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERPs: Microsoft Dynamics or other financial reporting tools is desired.
  • Experience in data management and big data tools, analytics and control will be considered.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize, and successfully meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate with internal clients and train staff, organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
