IE University is seeking for a Assistant for the Research Office to contribute to our cutting-edge educational initiatives within the Vice-Rectorate for Research department!

 

The position available is that of an assistant in the research office of IE University, under the direction of the Vice-Rector of Research and Coordination.

 

Mission: Management and promotion of the participation in research project financing programs, and institutional economic initiatives,  to support the development of the research activity of members of the IE Internal Faculty.

Responsibilities

Key Action Areas:

  • Manage platforms and portals related to the promotion and management of projects.
  • Develop other special projects according to the needs of the department.

Management

  • Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the research projects in which IE Researchers participate that are funded by national or international, public or private funding programs (Spanish Ministry, European Commission, etc.), as well as the use of institutional funds for research, in accordance with the regulations applicable to each research program and internal policies.
  • Support IE researchers in the preparation of economic and technical reports and in the implementation of dissemination and communication actions of research results, according to the guidelines of the project/agreement with the financing entities/companies.

Promotion

  • Support in the identification and analysis of public and private programs for research financing, and promote participation in appropriate calls for IE researchers, following the guidelines and strategic priorities determined by the Vicerector of Research.
  • Assist researchers in the preparation of research proposals submitted to the research funding calls of the different programs.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Master/Post Graduate degree preferred. (graduate studies and/or training in Research & Innovation programs or in Project Management will be valued)
  • 1-2 years experience in promotion and/or management of Research and Innovation projects, financed by national and international funds (Ministry of Science, European Commission, etc.)
  • Experience in the use of telematic project management tools and platforms, and accounting programs, as well as in the use of institutional platforms for requesting and justifying projects financed by public or private, national, European or similar institutions.
  • Proficiency in the spoken and written English language. (Totally Bilingual-Essential).
  • Advanced management of office applications (MS Office).

Desirable:

  • Skills for customer service and cultural awareness to interact with a multinational group of researchers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to working both in teams and independently.
