Associate Director of Careers and Alumni Engagement – Southeast Asia & Oceania

This position provides an exciting opportunity for ambitious candidates that excel in relationship building, networking and business development in both a B2B and B2C context, based out of our office in Singapore.

The successful candidate will be required to engage current IE students and alumni that live in or have an interest in working in Singapore, Southeast Asia and Oceania.

Additionally, the candidate will engage corporate and government stakeholders that have an interest in hiring our graduates and alumni.

Key Action Areas:

As part of the Global Markets team, the candidate will act as a key liaison on behalf of Talent & Careers and Global Alumni Relations, to enhance alumni satisfaction for the region through tailored and excellent service.

The role includes, but is not limited to, meeting and building strong relationships with current students and alumni; sourcing and posting job offers generated from within the network; planning a diverse calendar of dedicated career and alumni activities to increase the engagement of the community; working alongside the commercial team in Singapore to organize corporate events and centralizing information from key stakeholders to communicate on an ongoing basis, creating and managing successful local Alumni chapters. The role also includes ensuring that the alumni database is up to date, and that IE is generating volunteer opportunities for alumni to support IE initiatives for admissions activities and other stakeholders.

The position, based in IE’s office in Singapore, will require working closely with the Talent & Careers and Global Alumni Relations departments, and will report to the APAC Regional Director.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree from a top university. Master degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of direct relationship management experience in sales or business development and corporate partnerships, ideally within the education sector.
• Working experience in Singapore or another country in Southeast Asia and Oceania region is a must.
• A proven ability to nurture and sustain trusting relationships with senior leaders in corporate entities, government agencies and partner universities.
• An effective team player who is willing to collaborate with multiple stakeholders with shared accountability in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
• Co-lead the strategizing and implementation of engagement activities to enhance engagement within the IE community and raise IE’s alumni profile in the region.
• Excellent communication and writing skills with the comfort and competence in delivering effective presentations.
• Ability and willingness to travel within Southeast Asia and Oceania is a must.
• Native or near native fluency in English. Fluency in an additional language used in Southeast Asia is preferred.
