Instructional Designer & Technology Coach

The Role:

As Instructional Designer & Technology Coach, you will be part of the IE Learning & Innovation team, which belongs to the IE Adjunct and Visiting Faculty department. The purpose of this team is to empower our network of + 2000 full-time and adjunct faculty to excel in the classroom through appropriate support and training as well as through the leveraging of innovative learning technologies.

You would be involved in all aspects of supporting faculty in the design, development and delivery of their classes. This includes, but it not limited to, the following areas:

• Development and maintenance of training materials and faculty guides, for example in web sites, video tutorials, Articulate and others.
• Liaise with internal (e.g. IE IT) and external technology and service providers (e.g. Blackboard, Zoom, FBF, Campus Groups) to push for IE’s agenda regarding service and support as well as the development and advancements of new features.
• Conduct faculty trainings, online and/or in person, and office hours for ad-hoc faculty support.
• Respond to faculty email queries and schedule individual faculty training sessions when appropriate.
• Participate in the exploration process of relevant technology. Organize and execute pilots for testing. (e.g. attendance tools, XR, proctoring, edtech apps).
• Potential product owner for IE software developments (e.g. faculty portal, IE Forums tool).
• Manage faculty training events through IE Connects.

The qualifications you need:

• A Master´s degree is preferred.
• 3+ years of instructional design or educational technology experience. Experience in higher education would be a plus.
• Experience with LMS management, ideally Blackboard.
• Experience with VC technology, ideally Zoom.
• Confidence in handling technical training topics.
• A creative mind and curiosity for innovative ways of doing things.
• Strong communication and writing skills in English and Spanish.
• Solid creative, analytical and problem-solving skills is required.
• Good team player.
• Strong project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
