Overview

IE Business School’s Education & Academic Experience (EAX) Unit is responsible for the design and implementation of innovations in the educational journeys and academic experiences of students and faculty across all programs in the school. We take a human-centered approach aligned with the school’s vision of education as a transformational experience for students that accelerates their careers and enables them to drive positive change through responsible business.

 

The Director of Education & Academic Experience will be responsible for the analysis, design, and coordination of initiatives relevant for the education and academic experience at the school’s programs. She/he will report to the Dean of EAX, work closely with the school’s team of Associate Deans and Program Experience staff and also interact with faculty, students, and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Key action areas:

  • Analyze, design, and coordinate strategic projects to innovate in teaching methodologies, program formats, content, and edtech tools.
  • Identify students and faculty needs and design solutions to address them.
  • Analyze and map current academic experiences at the school.
  • Research and identify key trends and emerging innovations in higher education.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Carry out other related functions.
  • Work closely with the Dean of EAX to achieve the objectives of the unit.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience.
  • Master’s degree from a top university.
  • Training and/or experience in education, instructional design, and edtech.
  • Experience in project management and creative problem solving
  • Written and oral fluency in English and working proficiency in Spanish.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with dotted-line relationships.
  • Enthusiasm, team spirit and strong willingness to have an impact.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • International experience is a plus.
  • Candidates must be EU citizens or possess a valid EU work permit.
